Our Mission

Big 1MediumSmall

We believe there’s a better way to feed our future.

By shifting from animal to plant-based meat, we can positively affect growing global issues such as constraints on natural resources and animal welfare. After all, the positive choices we make every day – no matter how small – can have a great impact on our world.

Why make meat from plants?

HELP ANIMALS LIVE BETTER LIVES.

According to World Animal Protection, plant-based burgers are saving around 250,000 animals per year. *Forbes, Dec. 2019 Report

PRESERVE NATURAL RESOURCES.

Creating the original Beyond Burger takes significantly less water, land and energy than a ¼ lb U.S. regular beef burger. *Univ. Of Michigan, 2018, Environmental impact of the original Beyond Burger vs ¼ lb. U.S. beef. Life Cycle Analysis

HELP HUMANS EAT NUTRITIOUS.

Take our Beyond Burgers, for example. They provide an excellent source of protein and no cholesterol.

MAKE POSITIVE CHANGES.

Unlike their equivalent (115g American beef burger), Beyond Burgers are manufactured with 90% fewer greenhouse gas emissions. *Blonk Consultants (NL), 2023, Environmental impact of Beyond Burger (original) compared to 115g of American beef. Life cycle analysis

Our Impact

The Beyond Meat ® brand commitment, Eat What You Love™, reflects our strong belief that there is a better way to nourish our future and that the positive choices we all make, no matter how small, can help us move towards a future we want. By switching from animal-based meat to plant-based foods, we can help address concerns about the conservation of natural resources and animal welfare*. For example, a life cycle assessment (LCA) carried out in 2023 by the consultancy Blonk Consultants compared the environmental impact of Beyond Burger with that of a ¼ lb. American beef burger (around 115 g). The result? Making a Beyond Burger requires much less water, farmland and energy, and generates fewer greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions than a 115g American beef burger*.
