

Italian Sausage Crumble Bolognese

1. Heat medium heavy bottom sauce pot with 2 tbsp Olive Oil, and caramelize mushrooms. Remove.
2. Add 1 tbsp Olive oil and sweat onion and carrot for 2 to 3 minutes, add garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add tomato paste and cook for 2 more minutes.
3. Pour in Italian beef crumbles, mushroom stock, tomato juice, crushed can tomato and cooked mushrooms. Bring to a fast boil, stir and immediately reduce to a simmer, covered for 15 mins.
4. Adjust salt seasoning if needed.
5. Serve atop Barilla Protein + Rotini.
